Special characteristics:
Ruby Oolong comes from the north of Thailand from the area of Maesalong. This beautiful, mountainous area in the border region to Burma is one of the main tea growing areas in Thailand. The cultivation takes place at an altitude of 1400 metres.
Ruby Oolong is also known from Taiwan. The same tea plants are cultivated there for this tea. Its name is reflected in the shape of the tea, which is reminiscent of small red rubies. Young leaves are harvested, hand-picked of course. These are formed into the typical small balls in a complex, multi-stage rolling process and then roasted. The tea is one of the most densely rolled teas. To get a feel for it, it is best to use a scale at the beginning of the preparation.
Packaging sizes
It is an excellent tea that is suitable for any infusion method. Due to the dense rolling process, the small rolled tea balls always remain in the lower area after pouring water over them. In the simplest case, the tea can be put into a glass and drunk repeatedly, always topped up with hot water. The tea allows many infusions. If you have more time, use the classical Chinese method. The small solid balls need about 4-5 minutes at the beginning until they have unfolded.

100% handmade. We get this tea directly from small producers and tea farmers in China. The tea is grown and processed in a traditional way. Such high qualities are usually produced by the tea farmers only for the local Chinese market. Therefore we are regularly on site with the producers. The direct contact to the tea farmers enables us to offer very reasonable prices with outstanding tea quality. All our teas are checked for pesticide residues by an independent laboratory. We deliver the tea in re-sealable and aroma-safe stand-up pouches made of ALU/PE.
