One of the best Shupu Pu Erhs from Yunnan. Optimally matured. From a highland tea garden at over 2000 meters and tea trees that are over 300 years old. Has a perfect, well-rounded aroma with a chocolatey character reminiscent of mocha. Produces a deep, dark red infusion.

Chinese preparation: Place a mini cake (8g) in a small pot. First steep for 60s, then 10s, 15s, 20s, 25s and so on. The tea can be infused 10-15 times.
Western preparation: Pour one litre of boiling water over a mini-cake. If only one infusion is planned, allow the tea to infuse for at least 10 minutes. The cake opens slowly. Depending on the desired strength, water can simply be added later.

Special characteristics:
The raw material used here is leaves harvested from particularly old tea trees. This is a prerequisite for the highest quality Pu Erhs. The tea is then further processed in a particularly long fermentation and re-layering process lasting 60 days. This is still a fresh harvest. However, the tea can be stored for a long time (years to decades). During this maturation phase, its aroma continues to refine. The tea has a remarkably rounded aroma. If the tea is allowed to steep for a long time, it takes on almost coffee- or mocha-like characteristics in appearance and taste, with enormous softness and mildness, without any bitterness.

100% handmade. We get this tea directly from small producers and tea farmers in China. The tea is grown and processed in a traditional way. Such high qualities are usually produced by the tea farmers only for the local Chinese market. Therefore we are regularly on site with the producers. The direct contact to the tea farmers enables us to offer very reasonable prices with outstanding tea quality. All our teas are checked for pesticide residues by an independent laboratory. We deliver the tea in re-sealable and aroma-safe stand-up pouches made of ALU/PE.
