Special characteristics:

This tea is a hand-roasted Emei Mao Feng. The tea is gently rolled using the traditional method. The leaf surface is thus optimally roughened. The aroma unfolds much more beautifully in the tea. When brewed, it quickly develops a clear, yellow-greenish hue. A real rarity in this price range. Due to the dense rolling of the tea leaves, one should give the first infusion a little more time until the leaves have unfolded.
Emei Mao Feng comes from near Ya'an in the Emei Mountains area of Sichuan province. Ya'an is located on the eastern edge of the Tibetan highlands with optimal conditions for tea cultivation. The summers here are not too hot, the winters mild, with sufficient rainfall. The entire region is considered a paradise among nature lovers. Evidence of the cultivation of the variety dates back as far as 1200 years. The tea has a characteristic dark green colour with a fine but very strong structure.

Production and packaging:

Packaging sizes

100% handmade. We get this tea directly from small producers and tea farmers in China. The tea is grown and processed in a traditional way. Such high qualities are usually produced by the tea farmers only for the local Chinese market. Therefore we are regularly on site with the producers. The direct contact to the tea farmers enables us to offer very reasonable prices with outstanding tea quality. All our teas are checked for pesticide residues by an independent laboratory. We deliver the tea in re-sealable and aroma-safe stand-up pouches made of ALU/PE.
