Ruan Zhi Oolong

This oolong impresses with its unique production, in which tea leaves with tender, soft stems are selected at harvest time. The tea is grown in the mountains of northern Thailand at over 1400m. The leaves are hand-picked to a uniform size and processed using traditional Chinese methods. It has a nice balance of floral and fruity notes with a slight sweetness and subtle astringency. When brewed, it releases a delicate floral aroma that seduces the senses with an amber infusion. The producer family descends from Chinese emigrants and helps the local population in the village with various social projects. In particular, they also organise school projects for young people who come to this region from the nearby Burmese border.
